David invests in mission driven founders who are tackling big problems with great product experiences.

Co-founder of #ANGELS, an investment collective she started with five other women who built their careers together at Twitter. Previously, Jessica spent nearly a decade at Twitter, helping scale the company from 34 employees to several thousand. As the VP of Corporate Development and Strategy, she led dozens of acquisitions and played a critical role in catalyzing Twitter’s new product, technology, and business initiatives. She brought dozens of executives into the company along with products like Vine, Periscope, TweetDeck, and many more.

Bill is a general Partner at Benchmark for over 20 years. Prior to Benchmark, partner with Hummer Winblad Venture Partners. Prior to that, Bill spent four years on Wall Street as a top-ranked research analyst, including three years at CS First Boston focusing on personal computer hardware and software. Research coverage included such companies as Dell, Compaq, and Microsoft, and he was the lead analyst on the Amazon IPO. In both 1995 and 1996, was a member of the Institutional Investor All-American Research Team. Prior to his investment career, was a design engineer at Compaq Computer, where he worked on products such as the 486/50 and Compaq’s first multi-processor server. For the past fifteen years, has authored the Above the Crowd blog which focuses on the evolution and economics of high technology businesses.

Jeff is co-founder and partner at Craft. He has been a successful tech entrepreneur and investor for two decades. He dropped out of school and co-founded StubHub in March 2000. By 2007, StubHub had over 400 employees, more than $600 million of gross merchandise volume and partnerships with many professional and college sports teams. Jeff served as CEO of StubHub until it was acquired by eBay for $310 million in 2007. Jeff also created Spreecast, a social video platform, that ceased operations in 2016. Jeff began his career working for the Blackstone Group in New York and Thomas Weisel Partners in San Francisco.

Dr. Huican Zhu joined Google in 2000 and was responsible for many significant Google researches. He was a pioneer of Google’s image search and the first Senior Chinese Engineer and Senior Manager at Google. From 2010 to 2012, he was Chief Architect and General Manager of Infrastructure at Tencent. Dr. Zhu has received high praise for his excellent computer vision research capability. 

Larry leads investments in companies mostly in seed and Series A, with success exits and high growth, such as Assemblage (acquired by Cisco), Orbeus (acquired by Amazon), Ozlo (acquired by Facebook), Woomoo (acquired by Priceline), Contastic (acquired by Sugar CRM), Mobike (acquired by Meituan/Tencent), Evertoon (Acquired by Niantic | PokemonGo), Yiqixie (Acquired by Kuaishou/Tencent), Voyage, AIFI.io, Vicarious, Paperspace, Skycatch, Webflow, Chime Bank (Invested in 2013, and $14.5B valuation in 2020), Grail and et al. Larry also co-founded TAF (invested in ZOOM in 2011), and featured on TechCrunch List for first check and lead VCs in 2020. 

Dr. Sue Xu is a Managing Partner at Amino Capital, and her focus areas of investment include data-driven solutions. She was interim CEO of CandyHouse and CyteSi. Since 2012, she has involved with more than 260 investments mostly in seed and Series A, with 13 unicorns, including Chime Bank, Webflow, Rippling, Weee, Headspin, Grail (acquired by Illumina), OmiseGo and DFINITY (launched with $45B market cap), Mobike (acquired by Maituan), and industry leading fast growing startups, such as Wyze, Avail MedSystems,, Orbeus (acquired by Amazon), Ozlo (acquired by Facebook), GrokStyle(acquired by Facebook), Assemblage (acquired by Cisco), Woomoo (acquired by Priceline), Contastic (acquired by Sugar CRM), Evertoon (Acquired by Niantic | PokemonGo), Yiqixie (Acquired by Kuaishou), Dataform (acquired by Google), Voyage (acquired by Cruise) and et al.

He serves as Chairman of Aura, Twingate, and Super Unlimited, and led WndrCo’s investments in Figma, 1Password, Databricks, Pango, Pilot, Rally, Zagat / The Infatuation, and other great companies.

Bhaskar “BG” Ghosh is the CTO at 8VC, having initially joined the company as an Advisor in December 2015. Since receiving his PhD in Computer Science from Yale, BG has had a distinguished career in Silicon Valley, working for 20+ years in technology leadership in diverse domains including enterprise data and web infrastructure, digital advertising, social networks, and consumer fintech. Previously, he ran technology at Nerdwallet as VP of Engineering, helped build the teams and back-ends that helped fuel LinkedIn’s meteoric growth as its Head of Data Engineering, and led engineering for the pioneering Yahoo! Right Media Display Advertising Exchange. BG built his deep technology and data chops developing RDMBS kernels at top enterprise data-platform companies like Oracle and Informix. At 8VC, BG works with the entrepreneurs and leaders in our portfolio as a virtual CTO, and in finding the next big investment idea across technology domains.

Avichal Garg’s tour through tech began at Google, and he landed at Facebook in 2012 after the social-media giant bought Spool, his mobile bookmarking startup. At Facebook, he led product management for a 400-engineer team. His investing career involved a brief stint at Y Combinator, after which he struck out on his own to build Electric Capital, a firm that invests across fintech and crypto. He’s now among the beneficiaries of a wave of capital pouring into Web3 — a catchall term for crypto, blockchain, and metaverse companies — with two newly closed funds worth $1 billion.

Joe Montana, a Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback, might be better known for his four Super Bowl championships with the San Francisco 49ers than as a financier of startups. But through Liquid2 Ventures, his seed-investment fund founded in 2014, Montana has invested in 87 startups. Two of his standouts include the customer-onboarding startup Flatfile and money-management software company Origin, which hit a $400 million valuation in August. In February, Montana and his Liquid2 partners announced that they’d raised an $80 million third fund, and that the previous funds had each hit the industry bull’s-eye of a three-time return for their investors.
