Anish joined Credit Karma in 2015 via the acquisition of Snowball, a notifications startup he founded a year earlier. Prior to creating Snowball, Anish founded SocialDeck, a social-gaming company that was acquired by Google in 2010. Ann Miura-Ko is a co-founding Partner at Floodgate. A repeat member of the Forbes Midas List and the New York Times Top 20 Venture Capitalists Worldwide, Ann was also named the “Most Powerful Woman in Startups” by Forbes. Ann is well-known in Silicon Valley as a pioneer investor in highly technical companies because of her background as a PhD in math modeling of infosec at Stanford. Her deep interest in technology began as a child – her father was a NASA rocket scientist – and her expertise developed as an undergraduate at Yale, where she participated in the Robocup Competition in Paris, France. Ann has also made significant investments in consumer (commerce, curation), marketplaces, and software for SMBs and solopreneurs. Some of Ann’s investments include Lyft (where she is still a board member), Xamarin, Monthly, Popshop, Emotive, and Refinery29.

Charles Birnbaum is a partner in Bessemer’s New York office, where he invests in early-stage and promising companies in the U.S. and Europe. He has a strong interest in fintech infrastructure, embedded financial services, consumer-facing products, the powerful emergence of DeFi, and the consumer-facing companies and infrastructure players that will serve as a bridge between DeFi and TradFi. Before joining Bessemer in 2013, Charles was one of the earliest team members at Foursquare, the location-based mobile application and social network, where he helped to bring forth the company’s first merchant-facing tools.

Eric led investments in enterprise software companies such as Confluent and Amplitude, both of which IPO'ed in 2021. Vishria, who graduated from Stanford at age 19, led the Series A round in monitoring startup Pixie Labs, which was acquired by publicly traded platform New Relic two months later.

Martin was previously the cofounder and chief technology officer at Nicira, which was acquired by VMware for $1.26 billion in 2012. While at VMware, Martin was a fellow, and served as senior vice president and general manager of the Networking and Security Business Unit, which he scaled to a $600 million run-rate business by the time he left VMware in 2016. He started his career at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory where he worked on large-scale simulations for the Department of Defense before moving over to work with the intelligence community on networking and cybersecurity. These experiences inspired his work at Stanford where he created the software-defined networking (SDN) movement, leading to a new paradigm of network virtualization. While at Stanford he also cofounded Illuminics Systems, an IP analytics company, which was acquired by Quova Inc. in 2006.

Mike joined Index in 2009, to help establish the firm's San Francisco office with Danny Rimer. Mike invests primarily in infrastructure, open-source, and artificial intelligence companies. Ajay leads the west coast office for BCV. Previously, Ajay was head of sales and marketing at Trilogy where he grew annual revenues to $300 million and led Trilogy’s product expansion into new areas such as enterprise pricing and incentive management. Prior to Trilogy, Ajay was a consultant with the Los Angeles office of McKinsey & Company.

Alana started base case while working as a product manager at samsara out of a burning desire to spend more time with earlier-stage founders. During college, she worked at Greylock, General Catalyst's Rough Draft Ventures, and Sequoia's scout program.

Alex Hartz is a partner at Shine Capital

Alex is a Partner on the investment team at Khosla Ventures where he has a special focus in biotechnology, healthcare, data science, and AI/ML. Alex has an MD and PhD in biomedical informatics from Stanford, with a dissertation on machine learning methods in precision medicine under the supervision of Atul Butte. Alex has completed additional graduate work in biology and physics and a short postdoctoral fellowship in biochemistry and genetics with Ronald W. Davis at the Stanford Genome Technology Center.  As a scientist, he has published over 50 scientific publications, primarily at the intersection of computer science, biology, and healthcare. As an inventor, he has licensed IP to three separate companies. As an entrepreneur, he has worked as an early employee or co-founder at a range of startups. He currently sits on the boards of some of Khosla Ventures’ investments, including Deep Genomics and HeartVista.

Amanda (better known as Robson or Robby) loves working with passionate founders who have become experts in their space. Works with enterprise companies broadly but focuses on innovations in developer tooling, data management, security, applied AI, and supply chain. Before joining Cowboy, Amanda spent 3.5 years as an early-stage investor at Norwest Venture Partners. Before Norwest, she was a sell-side M&A investment banker on the enterprise software team at William Blair.

Amit is a partner in Bessemer’s Israel office where he focuses on investments in the region and throughout Europe. Prior to venture capital, Amit was a senior associate in McKinsey & Company, advising companies on projects related to technology strategy. Earlier in his career, Amit was a developer and then Product Manager at an e-commerce search and merchandising solutions startup Mercado, now part of Adobe Software. Amit holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology.

Amit joined Accel in 2016 and works with early-stage teams across a number of consumer, b2b, and developer-oriented categories. Areas of particular focus include fintech and digital health. Previously, Amit was an Accel entrepreneur as the co-founder of CardSpring, where he led engineering for its developer-facing API platform. Twitter acquired CardSpring, where he then led engineering for several of Twitter’s commerce initiatives.

Amy Saper joined Accel in 2019. Previously, Amy spent time at Stripe. As the second marketing hire, she helped build and grow the Product Marketing team, leading global product launches across Stripe’s suite of products. Prior to Stripe, Amy launched products and countries at Twitter, as she helped the company scale from a pre-revenue startup to a public company over the course of four years.

Andrew is a financial-technology entrepreneur and venture capital investor. Prior to Gilgamesh, Andrew co-founded Petal, which is a financial technology company in the credit card space in the United States that is dedicated to expanding access to credit. He also was an investment banker at Lazard and a corporate lawyer at Willkie Farr & Gallagher.

A globally recognized leader in AI, Dr. Andrew Ng leads AI Fund as the Managing General Partner. Additionally, he is the Founder and CEO of Landing AI, founder of DeepLearning.AI, chairman, and co-founder of Coursera, and an adjunct professor at Stanford University. Andy began his career in the Internet in the mid-90s. Prior to joining USV, in 2007 he co-founded betaworks, which both created and invested in social, real-time applications and services.

Co-founded Xift and later Cuil, two clustering-based search engines and Recall the first history-based search engine over the Internet Archive’s corpus at recall.archive.org, both acquired by Google. As a VP of Engineering at Google, she architected the search serving system that increased the index size over 10X at the time of launch, helped Android scale from 3 million to over a billion phones, launched Google Play, and led the search, infrastructure, and recommendation teams. She received her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, was an AI Research Scientist at Stanford University, and is a recipient of the Technical Leadership ABIE Award, among others. Anne was previously a seed stage investor at Floodgate, where she sourced and led several consumer investments. Before that she worked as an early hire in product and engineering roles at two startups, Solv Health and FundersClub. She started her career in consulting at McKinsey in San Francisco. Anne graduated from Princeton University, magna cum laude, where she started a failed company and experienced a taste of the challenges of entrepreneurship first-hand.

Annie Case joined Kleiner Perkins in 2018 and focuses on investments across consumer technology and digital health. Before joining Kleiner Perkins, Annie worked in product and business operations roles at Uber. While at Uber, she supported the SVP of Operations and helped scale the UberEats business to new markets internationally. Annie started her career as a consultant at Bain & Company in San Francisco, where she worked with clients in the Technology, Private Equity, and Education practices. Annie graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor's degree in Human Biology and a master's degree in Management Science & Engineering. She was also a member of the Stanford Women's Soccer team.

Joined Insight in 2021, where his focus areas are global high-growth fintech, internet, and software companies from Series A to pre-IPO stages. Ashmeet is the Founder and Chief Engineer of Engineering Capital. Ashmeet’s experience includes running venture capital funds and leadership positions helping build the industry leading products VMware ESX Server and Silicon Graphics WebFORCE. Ashmeet came into venture from VMware, where he ran product management for their flagship product ESX Server. His successful investments include Azure (IPO NYSE: AZRE) and SignalFx, recently acquired by Splunk for $1 billion, Tubi.tv (acq: FOX). Bhaskar “BG” Ghosh is the CTO at 8VC, having initially joined the company as an Advisor in December 2015. Since receiving his PhD in Computer Science from Yale, BG has had a distinguished career in Silicon Valley, working for 20+ years in technology leadership in diverse domains including enterprise data and web infrastructure, digital advertising, social networks, and consumer fintech. Previously, he ran technology at Nerdwallet as VP of Engineering, helped build the teams and back-ends that helped fuel LinkedIn’s meteoric growth as its Head of Data Engineering, and led engineering for the pioneering Yahoo! Right Media Display Advertising Exchange. BG built his deep technology and data chops developing RDMBS kernels at top enterprise data-platform companies like Oracle and Informix. At 8VC, BG works with the entrepreneurs and leaders in our portfolio as a virtual CTO, and in finding the next big investment idea across technology domains.

Bill has led investments in companies including Looker, Flexport, Verkada, Superhuman, Airbase, Nova Credit, Legion, and Labelbox.

I began my career in venture betting on student founders as a pre-seed investor with Dorm Room Fund, a national, student-run venture fund backed by First Round Capital, where I led investments in four pre-seed companies. At Crosscut Ventures, I co-created the first free job board focused solely on LA startups, Interchange. With the support of great partners like PledgeLA, Interchange will help make roles at LA-based startups more accessible to diverse candidates. I’ve begun building a community for women in enterprise called The Table with my friend Justine Humenansky of Playground Global.

Brooks is a co-founder and Managing Partner of FinTech Collective. Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, Brooks had a successful career as an entrepreneur and global operating executive in capital markets, payments, and enterprise tech. He was a key executive and officer at New York-based Multex, which successfully IPO’d and exited to Reuters; London-based Serverside, which successfully exited to Gemalto; and Oslo-based FAST, which successfully exited to Microsoft for over $1b. Brooks began his career as an enterprise software developer.

I look for audacious authenticity. The audacious part is that it has to be a big idea that will truly make a difference in the world. But to me, authenticity is most important. Someone who understands a problem space better than anyone else will be the absolute best steward for their company. They’re never going to give up on their idea, and no one can compete with their instincts and commitment. My goal is to be a founder’s first call. That’s not something you can add to a term sheet. It has to be earned—through trust, delivery and being there when things are messy and hard. Real company-building is not glamorous work. I thrive on partnering with people who will make a dent in tomorrow—and on being there with whatever they need to maximize that dent.

Bucky is Partner at Kleiner Perkins, where he focuses on software and infrastructure investments. He is a board member and early investor in companies like Netlify, Materialize, Labelbox, Teleport, Rudderstack, Open Raven, Prisma, Calixa, and Codesandbox. Prior to entering the venture capital business in 2014, Bucky was a member of Cisco’s Corporate Development team, where he executed on various M&A, investment, and partnership opportunities on behalf of its Data Center and Cloud Business Units. Bucky holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Southern California.

Casey joined Accel in 2022. Prior to joining Accel, Casey worked at Costanoa Ventures, an early-stage enterprise fund, where she led and incubated several investments in developer tools, data infrastructure, and security. Before investing, Casey was a software engineer at Pinterest where she worked on commerce, collaboration, and core products. Casey joined Pinterest via an acquisition of a former Accel portfolio company, URX, where she was also a software engineer.

Cat focuses on early-stage investments in enterprise software. She’s particularly interested in data infrastructure, developer tools, and artificial intelligence. Prior to joining Index, Cat worked at Elementl, maker of the open-source data orchestrator Dagster. There, she led the development of the commercial product, Dagster Cloud. Previously, Cat was an early engineer at Scale, where she grew the labeler community and partnered with strategic AV customers. Before that, she worked at Yelp, JPMorgan and YouTube. Cat graduated from Princeton University with a BSE in Computer Science. She currently lives in San Francisco and is an avid reader, occasional cook, and constant tinkerer.

Danel focuses on early-stage and growth-equity investments. Previously he worked in corporate development at Google on strategic M&A initiatives including acquisitions, divestitures and investments. Prior to this he also worked as an analyst at Deutsche Bank and an associate at PwC. Danel graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.S. in commerce, with a concentration in accounting and finance and a minor in entrepreneurship.

Prior to starting Deciens, Kimerling was co-founder and CEO of Standard Treasury, a YCombinator company that built leading API solutions for the financial services community and which was acquired by Silicon Valley Bank.

Daniel first joined Accel in 2010. Dan re-joined Accel after spending time at Dropbox, where he worked on the platform team. He helped open the platform to third-party developers and launched and managed many of the company’s developer-facing initiatives. Earlier, Dan co-founded Chartio, a Y Combinator-backed (S10) startup in the data visualization space, and prior to Chartio, worked on CrunchBase at TechCrunch.

Danielle has worked with young entrepreneurs for about a decade. In 2010, during the founding of the Thiel Fellowship, Danielle joined to lead the design and operations. She's worked with some of the most prestigious founders like Vitalik Buterin and Ritesh Agarwal. Previous to her work with Peter Thiel, Danielle founded and directed Innovations Academy in San Diego, a K-8 charter school serving 400 students, with a focus on student-led project based learning and other alternative programs.

David Cowan is one of the world’s leading investors, having funded Seed, Series A, and Series B rounds that led to over 30 IPOs. David was ranked sixth on the Midas List and tied for fourth in the Midas List of Hall of Fame. David has co-founded three cybersecurity companies incubated within Bessemer’s offices: VeriSign (NASDAQ: VRSN), serving as initial Chairman and CFO; Good Technology (fka Visto, acquired by Blackberry) serving as CEO; and Defense.net (acquired by F5). He earned an AB in computer science / mathematics and an MBA, both from Harvard University. David leads the firm’s American Dynamism practice, which focuses on investing in companies advancing American interests. David was previously the founder and CEO of OpenDNS, a cloud-delivered security service that was acquired by Cisco in 2015 for $635 million. While at Cisco, David was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cisco Security — a $2.4 billion annual revenue business with more than 5,000 team members — where he oversaw the company's global cybersecurity strategy, product portfolio, and business. Prior to OpenDNS, David founded EveryDNS, an authoritative DNS service, and grew it into the world's largest free DNS service. He sold it to Dyn (now Oracle) in 2010.

Principal at Founders Fund and cofounder and President of Varda Space Industries, which is building the world’s first space factories. Before joining Founders Fund, he was a principal at Khosla Ventures, head of growth at Teespring, and founder of a healthcare company called Nightingale. 

Prior to joining FirstMark, Dez was the Commercial Strategy Manager at NYC-based startup Cadre, a tech enabled real estate investment platform. Dez began his career at Deloitte in their M&A strategy practice where he focused on commercial and operational due diligence for Fortune 500 companies, across various industries.

Ellen joined the boldstart team in January 2021, after having worked with the team as a founder at Dark.
