John Diekman is a Princeton- and Stanford-trained chemist who founded two venture capital firms (Bay City Capital and 5AM Ventures) after serving as CEO of Affymetrix and Managing Director of Affymax, giving him rare experience both building platform biotech companies and investing in them. He holds leadership positions at major research institutions including Chairman of The Scripps Research Institute and Charter Trustee of Princeton University, while also chairing Princeton's Art Museum Advisory Council and serving as an Honorary Officer of the Order of Australia.
