His work today focuses on physical AI and the frontier of industrial technology — robotics and humanoids, defense, space, ocean systems, manufacturing, and infrastructure. Tyler was an investor in Bloom Energy (IPO), AEye (IPO), Amyris (IPO), Ooma (IPO), Peregrine Semiconductor (IPO), Motricity (IPO), Infinera (IPO), Force10 (acquired), Xsigo (acquired), RMI (acquired), Wayport (acquired), Oculii (acquired), and more. Before R7, he was a Managing Director at AEI from 2006 to 2012, a pioneer in capital formation for late-stage venture-backed companies alongside NEA, Khosla, Benchmark, and KPCB.
