Black Star Fund is one of only six US venture funds that are both Black-led and have an all-Black founder portfolio, investing primarily in Black founders across the US and Africa with over 70% of its $12M fund going to Black women. The fund positions itself as building a "unicorn factory" for Black founders, arguing that a small number of Black unicorns backed by Black investors can move trillions in market cap to close the racial wealth gap.
