Karim leads GV’s investments in enterprise software and analytics as the IT stack reorganizes and learning algorithms extend our ability to gain insight from large amounts of data. He also has a passion for security innovation at a time when those technology shifts are continuously expanding vulnerable surface areas. Before joining GV, Karim served on Google’s corporate development team and held business and product development positions at Level 3 Communications. Earlier in his career, Karim took on various product and marketing roles at Intel, initially on the i486 and later as product manager for the Pentium processor. He started his career at Siemens as a software engineer working on the first vehicle navigation system for BMW. Karim is drawn to mission-driven founders with a healthy disregard for the impossible.

Enrique is a global leader in security, backup and availability solutions. He looks for great people and expects exceptional results. It sounds simple, but it’s actually a challenge to find brilliant and committed founders who also have the operational chops to deliver on their vision.

Dave focuses on early to late-stage investments in enterprise and infrastructure. Before joining Norwest, Dave spent 15-years at Comcast Ventures where he was responsible for identifying, executing, and managing new investments with a focus on enterprise software, cybersecurity, and financial services. His notable investments include Aporeto (acquired by Palo Alto Networks), BitSight, Brightside, CTI Towers (acquired by Melody Investment Advisors), DocuSign (NASDAQ: DOCU), EdgeConneX (acquired by EQT), Lendio, Slack (acquired by Salesforce), and Vox Media. Prior to Comcast Ventures, Dave was at Flarion Technologies where he served as a senior business development executive and played a pivotal role in the company’s fundraising activities and eventual acquisition by QUALCOMM for $805 million. He started his career at Lehman Brothers in investment banking, gaining a foundation in finance and advising companies going through strategic transformation.

Constance Freedman is the Founder and Managing Partner of Moderne Ventures and the Moderne Passport, an early stage investment fund and industry immersion program which is focused on investing in technology companies in and around the multi-trillion dollar industries of real estate, finance, insurance, hospitality and home services. Constance has invested in almost 90 companies and actively partners with 700+ industry executives and corporations to help build strategic value and scale. She is active on several company boards, past and present, including DocuSign [NASDAQ: DOCU], Updater [ASX:UPD], Homesnap, Porch, TaskEasy and Equity Lifestyles [NYSE:ELS].
