Ed is a seasoned VC with over 25 years of experience leading first-round investments and a passion for working with developer-first, engineering-driven founders. He founded boldstart in 2010 and has served as a day-one partner and board member or observer for cutting-edge tech names including Common Paper, Env0, and Spectro Cloud.

Mike caught the technology bug at an early age. He started playing video games at age 4, taught himself programming at 13, and founded his first startup at 19. While studying for the bar exam, he had the idea for BarMax, a $1000 iPhone app for exam preparation, which is currently the top rated bar exam course in the app store.  Mike went on to co-found Stitcher, an early podcasting company backed by Benchmark where he led partnerships with The Wall Street Journal, NPR, The Washington Post, TechCrunch, and many others. Mike was also early at TrialPay, a payments company that was acquired by Visa, where he led the partnership with Facebook that doubled the company’s revenue. Mike’s enthusiasm for the early stage brought him to Yelp in 2010, where he was Vice President of Business Development and Corporate Development. In that role, Mike secured more than 200 partnerships with leading companies, including Apple, Microsoft, and Samsung, and he led Yelp’s acquisition of Eat24.

Multi-awarded american rapper and actor famous for his roles in "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air", "Men in Black", "The Pursuit of Happiness", etc. co-owner of Westbrook Inc.,  a cross-platform holding company formed to execute the Smith Family’s global content and commerce business strategy. 

Co-founded Flickr and Hunch (developed foundational AI algorithms to power recommendations, acquired by eBay). Served as Chairman of Etsy (NASDAQ:ETSY), and serves on the board of The Sundance Institute, Public Goods and McSweeneys. Previously was Founder Partner at Founder Collective (early investors in Uber, Pillpack, Buzzfeed and others). Investor in Etsy, Kickstarter, Cloudera, Blue Bottle Coffee and many other companies.

Co-founded Jaiku, a mobile social network acquired by Google; and Ditto, a recommendations app acquired by Groupon. Early investor in Unity (NYSE:U), Oura, Iceye and many other companies. Prior to co-founding Yes VC with Caterina he was on the investing team at True Ventures (early investors in Peloton, Ring, WordPress and others).

Ian Rountree founded Cantos Ventures in 2016, with a focus on next-generation tech related to climate science, biology, aerospace, and health. Formerly director of partnerships at SoFi.

Before becoming an angel investor, Lachy was an early Stripe employee (#30), joining the company right out of high school. Ultimately became Head of Stripe Issuing, and previously led several product teams responsible for Stripe’s core payments, global expansion, and enterprise users as well as Stripe’s global business development and operations teams.

Ajay came to IVP from Dropbox, where he guided the company through its IPO and first several years as a public company. As a first-time CFO, he stepped into a leadership role early in his career, and learned firsthand how to build, support and inspire a high-performing team.

As an investor, Ajay is always on the lookout for companies that are solving big problems in market categories on the precipice of disruptive change. He is also focused on helping IVP build platform capabilities closely attuned to the needs of our founders.
