Before becoming an investor at Seaya, Rika Christanto co-founded the logistics company Ontruck and got her start in operations building a nationwide dairy supply chain in Uganda, later being chosen as an Accel scout while still working as an operator. She managed intense day-to-day responsibilities at Ontruck while raising triplets, shaping her workday around preschool drop-offs and late-night work.
About their Fund
Seaya is a female-founded venture capital fund headquartered in Spain that invests in climate technology companies at the Series B stage and beyond, helping them scale from a working product to full industrial deployment; its climate fund, Andromeda, is the first Article 9 climate-tech fund based in Southern Europe, a region whose exposure to heat waves, drought, and wildfires, along with deep expertise in renewables, auto parts, agriculture, and real estate, gives Seaya practical insight into the sectors it backs. Seaya also acts as a bridge between Europe and Latin America, with teams in Madrid, Barcelona, and Mexico City, and it invests using a Series A+ approach, typically committing €2 million to €8 million at first and up to €20 million in follow-on funding as companies expand across both regions.
