Before joining Raven, Sean spent decades building Manitobah from the ground up—starting in a tannery in high school, running a trading post where he traded leather with First Nations artisans for handmade mukluks, and later seeking guidance from Winnipeg's Elders before commercializing the product, all while building programs like the Storyboot School that let Indigenous artists sell their work globally and keep all the profits. He joined Raven first as an Entrepreneur in Residence before becoming General Partner, and in 2024 he was appointed to the National Indigenous Economic Development Board, reflecting a career built on hands-on business experience and a long-standing commitment to Indigenous economic self-sufficiency.
