Sure Valley Ventures was founded by former startup builders, including Barry Downes, who sold his company FeedHenry to Red Hat, and it started investing in AI back in 2017, well before most funds cared about it, focusing on the overlap between AI, immersive tech like AR/VR, and security software, with early bets like Landvault, VividQ, and Admix, and offices spread across places like Manchester, Dublin, Cork, and Waterford instead of just London. The fund also built its own database to find AI startups early, created a GPT tool to help founders negotiate term sheets even against Sure Valley itself, and is backed by both the UK's British Business Bank and Ireland's Enterprise Ireland.
