Adrian Smith is a Winston-Salem native who returned home after graduate school to build the local startup ecosystem, founding Robert Rust Foods and co-owning Village Fabric Shop while serving as a founding partner at Equilibrium Impact Ventures. He combines environmental studies and MBA training with finance expertise to architect new capital models that blend philanthropic and venture funding, particularly through partnerships with foundations to support BIPOC and impact-driven founders.
