LoftyInc Capital grew out of building African startup ecosystems—including launching Nigeria's Wennovation Hub and helping start the Afropreneur Angel Group and Lagos Angel Network—before becoming a fund, and it later attracted major institutional backers like IFC, FMO, and Meta's NPE team, marking Meta's only investment in an African VC, while its early Nigeria-focused fund returned 5.7x cash-on-cash through exits such as Flutterwave and Reliance Health. It is now focused on helping startups bridge the gap between late-seed and Series A funding, deploying at least 30% of its new fund across East, North, and Francophone Africa through teams based in Nigeria, Egypt, and Kenya.
