Before becoming an investor at Unlock Venture Partners, Andy Liu angel invested for about a decade starting in 2005, co-founded NetConversions out of research he worked on at Wharton, and later built BuddyTV around the idea that young people were already using their phones while watching TV; today he looks for founders first, paying close attention to grit and whether someone still feels energized by their business late at night. Beyond startups, he wants to see more people in Seattle take the leap into entrepreneurship, co-owns the restaurant The Fat Hen, serves on the board of Future Hope, and now splits his time between Taiwan and Seattle with his family.
