Beverley Gower-Jones spent about two decades at Shell working across geology, well engineering, and corporate venturing, helped co-found Shell Technology Ventures, and later founded Carbon Limiting Technologies in 2006, working with hundreds of climate-tech companies before starting Clean Growth Fund—an idea she first sketched out in a caravan in her garden. She studied geology as the only woman in her university department, worked as a scuba-diving instructor examiner before having children, and traces some of her climate motivation to seeing coral reefs degrade firsthand while diving.
