Carey Diamond helped create Whitecap Venture Partners in the early 1990s to bring the Diamond family's capital into technology investing, and he later led its shift into a third-party fund, growing it to a $100M fund in 2015 and closing $110M in 2018. He's a law-trained investor with an economics degree who has spent decades working closely with companies across IT, healthcare, and food technology—including Broadband Networks, PCDocs Group, Protenergy Natural Foods, ImagicTV, Loran International, Reunion Foods, and Clearwater Clinical—while also spending about twenty years on the boards of Sunnybrook and Baycrest, chairing committees focused on capital projects and strategic planning.
