Before joining Astella, Daniel Chalfon spent about 25 years working in Brazil's media industry, including serving as president of Grupo de Mídia de São Paulo, and he now helps founders with marketing and communication while focusing on how local complexity in Brazil can give startups an edge. Outside of investing, he hosts the Astella Playbook podcast and has a musical background, playing synths and bass and once contributing synths, bass guitar, and drum programming to the band JULES.
