Ed Goodman is the grandson of the man who built Bergdorf Goodman, and after helping his father sell the family retail business in 1972, he moved into venture capital, where he managed a Patricof fund that took part in Apple Computer's last private financing before its IPO and later helped build cross-border venture and investment banking work spanning the U.S., Japan, Australia, and Israel at Hambros.
