Before moving into venture capital, Frank Tighe developed and commercialized more than 150 medical devices, co-founded RetinaLabs and grew it to an acquisition by Iridex, then helped run Iridex’s consumables marketing and distributor network across over 100 countries, and later led a Series A deal for a German medical device company. At Silicon Road Ventures, he looks for software companies that already have real revenue and high growth, and he’s especially drawn to lasting shifts in how people shop and pay, like the rise of pay-by-text after COVID.
