Heidi Patel is a managing partner at Rethink Impact who helped build New Island Capital into a 130-position, multi-asset-class, 100% mission-focused portfolio that stayed profitable even during the financial crisis, and has co-taught Stanford GSB's flagship impact investing course for a decade using real institutional portfolios to train MBAs. She spent virtually her entire post-banking career working for or investing in female CEOs before co-building Rethink Impact into the largest U.S. VC fund backing women CEOs, and personally invests in women's professional sports including Angel City FC and serves as a limited partner in Monarch Collective, the first private equity firm focused entirely on women's sports.
