Susquehanna Sustainable Investments is backed by the owners of Susquehanna International Group, giving its climate team access to a 3,500-plus person operating base with expertise in technology, data science, and risk, and it is led by people with deep backgrounds in trading and carbon markets, including decades at Susquehanna and prior work in carbon markets, renewables, and distributed energy startups. The fund invests broadly across the climate sector, including technically difficult areas like direct air capture, wave energy, and geothermal tooling, as well as nature and ocean-focused projects and emerging-market efforts in Africa, and it has already backed 50 early-stage companies since 2021.
