Johan Gjesdahl came up through operating and dealmaking roles rather than a typical investing path, having led M&A and business development at TANDBERG before its roughly $3 billion acquisition by Cisco and having worked on the management team of a London-based startup building software for the pulp and paper industry. At Alliance VC he's tied to some of Norway's best-known startups, including early backing of Oda, Sanity, Boost.ai, and Superside, and he stays close to two of them, holding current roles at Sanity and Boost.ai alongside his work at the fund.
