Juan Paez built his career in Latin American energy and infrastructure investing before joining Climate Fund Managers, trained as an engineer from Universidad de los Andes with an MBA from London Business School, and went on to open CFM's Bogotá office and lead its first investments in Colombia, including the firm's first regional exit with Pétalo del Norte de Santander I. He talks about his work in practical terms—using 20-year fund horizons to look past any single political administration, backing projects from early development through construction with a dedicated pool of capital, and focusing on bringing more investment into markets that don't currently have enough to make a real difference.
