How Women Invest emerged from a 25,000+ member women's leadership movement and operates as part of an integrated "lead–invest–give" platform that uses venture investing as one lever in a broader strategy to shift economic power toward women. The fund intentionally structured early funds at a small size cap (~$10M) with $25K minimum checks to enable hundreds of first-time women and women-of-color LPs to enter venture, while treating LPs as an "extended research team" who formally participate in sourcing deals and serving as subject-matter experts.
