Kate has been a venture capitalist since 2008 as a Founding Member of Lerer Hippeau. She seeded iconic brands like Billie (acq. Edgewell), Casper (IPO), Food52 (acq. by Cherin Group), Genies, Glossier, Hipcamp, Paperless Post, Self Financial, The Citizenry, Warby Parker (IPO), Venmo (acq. by Braintree), and several more. She is a Founding Partner of Upslope Ventures (FKA Galvanize Ventures), the venture fund associated with Galvanize, the developer education program, and national co-working community, and previously served as Chief of Staff to Martha Stewart.
