Luis E. Garcia de Brigard is the son of teachers who served as Colombia's Deputy Minister of Education, where he led teaching profession reforms and promoted school accountability when the education budget surpassed defense spending for the first time in the country's history. He co-founded Enseña por Colombia (Teach For Colombia) and was founding CEO for the Americas at Inspired Education, one of the largest premium K–12 education groups worldwide, before becoming a specialized education investor at Appian Education Ventures.
