Before becoming a VC, Marc Gendebien co-founded and served as CFO of Arvensia, an agro-commodities marketplace that grew to handle over 10 million tons of cereal contracts a year and became Europe's top options broker for wheat and rapeseed, and he later managed a €300 million food, beverage, and retail equity fund at ING, regularly outperforming a benchmark of 500+ global companies. He's also a board member at ClimateCamp, where he has pointed to Scope 3 emissions as one of sustainability's toughest problems, and outside of work he's known for high-energy pursuits like skiing, mountain biking, rugby, and flying gliders.
