Neil S W Murray got his start as a journalist covering the Nordic startup scene, moving from the UK to Denmark in 2013 and starting The Nordic Web to document a region he felt was underreported, which eventually led venture capitalists to ask him which founders were raising money and pulled him into investing himself. At The Nordic Web Ventures he keeps his funds intentionally small, capping Fund III at $6 million despite having more than $20 million of interest, and outside investing he built the Playmaker app after ranking around 1,000th out of more than 7 million fantasy football players worldwide and growing a fantasy football Twitter account from a handful of friends to nearly 20,000 followers in a year.
