Nick David studied Classics at Oxford rather than engineering or finance, and his approach to evaluating companies grew out of his original career as a headhunter, shaped further by early work co-founding Neo Kuma Ventures, one of the UK's first funds focused on psychedelic healthcare. Today he sources deals across the UK and Europe for Starship Ventures, where he originated its investments in Klura Labs and Lavoit, while also co-running GDL Advisors, which focuses on clean tech innovation and the technical relationships companies need to break into that space.
