Nora Bavey's approach to venture capital is shaped by her own path as a child refugee from Iran who grew up in Stockholm's suburbs, by building an earlier company focused on access to education, and by becoming a mother, all of which led her to focus on early-stage founders, treat diverse perspectives as key to solving overlooked problems, and see ownership and entrepreneurship as real tools for lasting equality. Without a background from elite Swedish institutions, she built her knowledge largely on her own and has used that outsider perspective to push for a more open view of who gets backed as an investable founder in the Nordic tech scene.
