Paul Flanagan co-founded Sigma Prime Ventures after joining Sigma Partners as an executive-in-residence in 2006, and he takes a highly selective approach by making only six investments in five years while committing to 4-6 year board roles for each investment. Unlike most early-stage VCs, he has served as both CFO and CEO of companies that went public, and he actively steps into operating roles when needed—personally joining Nasuni as president then CEO while remaining a managing director at his fund.
