Phoebe Tan spent seven years as CEO of a Taiwan-based advanced semiconductor materials startup, where she commercialized building-integrated photovoltaics and CMOS image sensor products, raised venture funding, and led major IP acquisitions across the U.S., Taiwan, and Singapore, backed by a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering. At Xora she invests in next-generation computing bottlenecks like the memory wall, high-speed interconnects, thermal control, and energy efficiency in chips, while also co-founding and running Nexstrom, a company developing wafer-scale single-crystal 2D TMD semiconductor materials for future chip generations.
