Before moving into venture, Roel van Wegberg worked in real estate, helping launch funds at ING Real Estate/CBRE Investment Management and setting up an investment boutique for the Generali Group; at Brightlands Venture Partners he built out the firm’s fund operations, governance, and investor reporting, later taking on institutional development and new fund launches, and has supported fundraising totaling more than €1.6 billion while acting as a main point of contact for institutional investors.
