Ron Frey founded RL Frey, Inc. in 2015 as a boutique advisory and investment firm focused entirely on auto technology, and he deliberately sits on boards of both major automotive enterprises and early-stage startups to give founders a practical view of how innovation gets adopted in the industry. Before investing, he held senior roles including President of AutoNation Direct and Chief Strategy Officer at both AutoNation and CDK Global, giving him hands-on experience building the tech-enabled distribution models that many founders are now trying to sell into.
