Ryan Sommerville was the first hire for Antler's US expansion and became a General Partner after helping establish the firm's presence in New York and Austin, playing a foundational role in shaping how Antler operates in the US rather than joining a pre-built platform. He has run more than a dozen US cohorts with a focus on founder community over programming, brings hands-on founding experience across multiple industries plus nonprofit work with lower-income entrepreneurs, and evaluates founders with an explicit bias toward demonstrated real-world risk-taking and personal magnetism.
