Tony Day is a PhD chemist and enzymologist who was among the first employees and Head of R&D at Solazyme, an early algal and fermentation-enabled industrial biotech company, where he helped drive foundational technology partnerships before becoming VP of Commercialization. He currently serves as both a venture investor at Genoa Ventures and CTO of Bond Pet Foods, where he leads development of animal-free meat proteins for pet food via precision fermentation while also backing the company through his fund.
