Before co-founding DisrupTech, Yehia Abouelwafa served as Chief Investment Officer at MNT-Halan Investments and was a Graduate Teaching Fellow in Yale's Department of Economics, backgrounds that shape his focus on treating governance as something startups should build in from day one and on judging success by whether founders choose to build with him again. He's also known for arguing that fintech investing works best when new ideas grow alongside strong regulation and financial infrastructure, rather than treating disruption as valuable on its own.
