Beyond Earth is a venture fund that backs companies with both space and Earth-based uses, focusing on physical infrastructure like precision positioning, lunar mobility, and power systems rather than rockets alone, and it supports founders building across the US, UK, EU, MENA, and APAC. The fund is led by a team with backgrounds in physics, banking, and early crypto/fintech work, including PhDs and founders who won the International Mars Society Mars Colony Prize in 2019, and it began as an investing syndicate before growing into a $30 million fund that started deploying in March 2025.

Video Interview
On the real odds of a cold pitch
"We get a lot of emails, a lot of cold outreach, LinkedIn and email. On average, I probably get around 200 deals a month and we try to invest one deal a month... It's impossible for me to reply to everyone, even with an auto-reply. So if you don't reply, that's because there is a lot going on."
On her fusion diligence and timeline call
"One of the most exciting ones recently was nuclear fusion. We spent 18 months looking at the sector, trying to understand, is that still 20 years away from today, or is it 20 months away? And we decided it's actually 20 months away. After speaking to probably every single expert in the world in fusion energy, we've made an investment, but it's not announced yet."
On why signing LOIs can mean just as much as revenue
"Traction doesn't mean you need to show revenue, especially in deep tech. We're not expecting revenue day one. But if you sign 20 LOIs, I know that probably 19 of them will never turn into a commercial contract. But I know that you spoke to probably 200 companies, and 180 of them said no, and 20 of them said okay. So that's one of the best predictors of how good they're going to do sales."
On the strongest signal a founder can send
"It's very basic psychology. If you're not fundraising... you just closed a round, you have revenue, it makes us think, okay, that must be something very good. They're not fundraising, they don't want to talk to me. I want to talk to them, I want to follow them, I want to build a relationship with them."
On auditing your own database presence
"We're all using databases. We use PitchBook, Crunchbase, Specter. I can see which co-investors are looking at each deal, so we're probably already tracking you. Make sure you are in the databases and check by yourself. Are you in PitchBook? If I apply a filter, I like companies in energy, are you going to make the cut?"
