Ameer Sherif built Wuzzuf, one of Egypt's major job platforms, launching it just days before the 2011 revolution and keeping it running through internet blackouts and funding disruptions until it became profitable, and he later helped bring early global investors like 500 Startups and EBRD into Egypt through BasharSoft. At Khwarizmi Ventures, he combines that hands-on building experience with a preference for helping companies grow steadily and stay healthy rather than chasing rapid growth at any cost, along with real data on Egypt's job market—since roughly a quarter of the roles on his platform were tech jobs—and a history of supporting early ecosystem events like RiseUp Summit.
