Aneesh Venkat's interest in science started early: in high school he used NASA cloud data to study climate patterns in Indonesia's "warm pool," won second grand prize at the Tidewater Science Fair, and also worked on projects tracking asteroids and studying whether a moon of Jupiter could support life. As an investor, he tends to focus on how companies help people learn or manage information better, backing Course Hero for its support of lifelong learners beyond traditional college students and Collibra for helping organizations make sense of massive amounts of data.
