Before joining Copper Sky Capital, Ashok Santhanam was CEO of Bristlecone and wrote extensively on supply-chain and operations topics, and he has built a public investing identity around backing software companies in the underserved American interior, including specific bets like dental practice AI at Peerlogic and hourly worker software at Grazzy. He's also known as an active presence in Arizona's startup scene and was the visible name behind AZ-VC's rebrand to Copper Sky Capital.

Notable Investments
AZ-VC started as a fund built specifically for Arizona startups and has since grown into a broader fund that backs early-stage companies in underserved markets across North America, outside Silicon Valley, New York, and Boston. It's led by Jason Pressman, a longtime partner at Shasta Ventures, and Jack Selby, a former PayPal executive and Managing Director at Thiel Capital, and it focuses on AI software used in overlooked industries like nuclear utilities, aviation maintenance, small business bookkeeping, and multifamily leasing.
