Benji Shomair built three different businesses at Facebook—Ads, Messaging, and Commerce—and noticed that some of the platform's biggest products came from watching how people were already using it in unplanned ways, like buying and selling in groups or commenting on posts to ask about products. That experience shaped his belief that people should be able to buy something the moment they discover it, rather than clicking through several steps to check out later.
