Daniel Tomov has been investing in startups since 2000 through Bulventures, Bulgaria's first seed fund, and also co-founded Quantum Solar, where he helped build a 10 MWp solar plant—giving him a hands-on background in renewable energy alongside his investing work. After backing 115 companies in just over three years at Eleven, he moved toward writing larger checks that give founders 12 to 18 months of runway, and he has focused much of his work on connecting founders across Southeast Europe—such as pairing Greek commercial talent with Bulgarian engineering talent—so they can build for international markets from the start rather than stay limited to their home country.
