Before joining OneVentures, Westwater was CFO of Elastagen, leading its fundraising and UK clinical expansion, then staying on through the Allergan acquisition to oversee integration of its clinical programs—an outcome later named Best Venture Capital Investment of 2018 by the Australian Investment Council. He holds a PhD and BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from Heriot-Watt University, earning the Watt Club Medal, and has been recognized for his knowledge of how diagnostics differ from therapeutics in regulatory, IP, and reimbursement terms.
