Before becoming a venture investor, Erass Majdoubeh played professional football for the Jordanian National Team, Al-Jazeera National Club, and Queens Park Rangers, and he later brought firsthand healthcare operating experience into his investing, pointing out that telehealth in MENA often plateaus because patients still prefer seeing a doctor in person and that the region's large stores of unused historical health data could become valuable with modern technology. Beyond making investments, he has shown an interest in building up the broader startup ecosystem, having launched a free online course initiative for people across MENA while at Wamda and continuing to seek out conversations with grassroots and local entrepreneurs.
