Before becoming a venture investor at Alsop Louie Partners, Jason Preston spent years studying why certain leaders succeed through Dent, ran early internet-culture projects like one of the first business-blogging conferences and what's described as the world's first Twitter conference, and built high-touch gatherings such as Tweet House at Sundance, SXSW, CES, and Comic-Con—work that later led him into advising organizations on culture, product, and story. He now invests in entertainment, social technology, and the relationship between tech and our bodies, teaches part-time in Human Centered Design and Engineering at the University of Washington, chairs the board of the Hydrocephalus Association, and has written for outlets like GeekWire, Seattle Business Magazine, and Crosscut.
