Jessica Karr was employee #12 at Impossible Foods, where she spent over six years helping build and launch the Impossible Burger before becoming a venture investor at Coyote Ventures, and her path there included working in her father's dental office, shadowing OBGYNs, studying biochemistry and philosophy, and researching the microbiome at UC San Diego. She invests by looking for large, overlooked problems rather than following trends, defines health broadly to include physical, financial, mental, emotional, occupational, developmental, interpersonal, community, and environmental well-being, and every one of her personal angel investments has grown into a unicorn.
