Maurice Werdegar made some of the earliest loans and investments in Facebook and Google, and he's known for structuring debt in flexible ways—like funding server purchases or acquisitions—that go beyond typical venture lending. Outside of investing, he co-founded and ran Palo Alto restaurants Blue Chalk Café and Left at Albuquerque, and he now serves on Stanford's Board of Trustees, where he's known for supporting first-generation and low-income students, the arts, and athletics.
