Before becoming an investor, Mike Lin built Fenix International into an off-grid energy company serving more than 7 million people across nine countries, worked on Makani's airborne wind energy project, and holds six patents in power generation and battery technology, giving him a hands-on, inventor's view of climate and energy that's rare among investors. He also brings an unusually varied set of experiences outside of finance, from helping build the presentation for An Inconvenient Truth and working with Apple on environmental technology, to being an Eagle Scout and champion archer who co-founded Stanford's archery team.
