Nancy Harrison brings a rare operator's perspective to venture investing, having co-founded and led MSI Methylation Sciences for over a decade while helping it raise more than US$70 million, and she trained as an engineer rather than following the more typical MD/PhD path into biotech investing. She also built Ventures West's life sciences practice from close to zero to more than $750 million under management, backed well-known companies like Angiotech, AnorMed, Xenon, and Alder, and has taken on leadership roles across the Canadian life sciences community, including chairing LifeSciences BC and serving on boards at adMare and Innovate BC.
