Paul Conley combines a PhD in Applied Mechanics/Engineering Science, an MS in Bioengineering, and over a decade as a founder and CEO with his work as a venture investor, and he uses that background to help build science-based startups from scratch as CEO of General Inception, OMX Ventures' incubator, while also serving as Managing Director at Paladin Capital Group. He was a lead investor in 10x Genomics and Twist Bioscience, has sat on the board or acted as a board observer for more than 25 companies including Inscripta and QuantaLife, and recently joined the board of Constructive Bio after helping support it through General Inception—reflecting a consistent pattern of getting involved early and staying engaged as companies grow.
